Surfers Paradise Is Flourishing

By Cordelia Kennedy

Queensland's Gold Coast, much like every other area in the world, has been feeling the effects of a downward economy. Values on apartments are declining at a rapid rate, and it seems like there is no end in sight. There is one area in the Gold Coast that seem to not be effected by the economy and that is the apartments in Surfers Paradise, an area located in the Gold Coast.

Even though Surfers Paradise is the most popular region of the Gold Coast region, it is surprising that they are not experiencing the effects of what is going on around them. In fact, not only are the property values not going down, they continue to rise. Over the past year they have an increased value of almost 9%. These ocean view properties continue to be sold at market value and very few are sold at a loss.

Many wonder how these apartments can be prosperous, when so many others are declining. It is possible that it has something to do with the amount of turn overs the apartment see. The Surfers Paradise apartments are not turned over very often, and this could be why there is no decline.

If you are deciding to relocate the the Gold Coast area, and are in search of a great piece of property at a low cost, you will want to look into the areas surrounding Surfers Paradise, as you will not find what you are looking for (cost wise) in Surfer's Paradise itself. On the other hand, if you are looking for a piece of investment property, then investing in an apartment in Surfers Paradise is the perfect choice.

If your purchase is for relocation it really doesn't matter where you purchase, as Gold Coast is beautiful through out. Whether you are purchasing a wonderful ocean front property in the Gold Coast, or an affordable place more inland, you are sure to be happy with the decision that you make.
